Frequently asked questions

How does the Aquerie filter work?

Water passes through a sequence of purposeful media before it reaches your shower head. A fan diffuser at the top spreads the flow across the full width of the cartridge so the water meets all of the media rather than channelling through the middle, which is what lets it work thoroughly while keeping your pressure steady.

Is Aquerie compatible with my shower?

Yes. It uses the universal G1/2 inch BSP thread found on standard UK showers, and it fits fixed, handheld, rainfall and electric showers. It sits in line between your water source and your shower head.

How often should I replace the filter?

About every six months, or every 10,000 litres, whichever comes first. Only the inner cartridge is replaced. The chrome housing stays where it is, so a refill costs considerably less than the original filter.

What are the benefits of filtered shower water?

Most people notice their skin feels calmer and less tight after showering, their hair feels softer and easier to manage, and the chlorine smell is gone. Limescale also builds up more slowly on the shower head and screen.

Will it reduce my water pressure?

It is engineered specifically to avoid this. Many filters force water through a narrow central path, which is what causes the drop people complain about. The fan diffuser spreads the flow across the whole media bed instead, so pressure stays even.

Can I use it with a handheld shower?

Yes. Fit it at the mixer tap outlet, then run your flexible hose and handheld head from the filter. The same universal thread applies, so no adaptors are needed.

Is it easy to install?

It takes under sixty seconds and needs no tools or plumber. Everything required is in the box, including two rubber O rings and a length of Teflon tape. It is family friendly, and it comes off just as easily if you move.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. The housing is covered against manufacturing defects, and consumable cartridges are excluded as you would expect. We also offer 14 day returns on unopened orders. If anything arrives faulty or damaged we will replace or refund it.
